2º Stop The first factories in San Adrian

Imagine the aroma of freshly cooked asparagus and the bustle of a small workshop that, in the late 19th century, gave rise to one of the most important canning factories in Spain. Máximo Muerza and later his son, Fructuoso Muerza, transformed artisanal production into an industry, modernizing machinery and bringing workers from different places, who filled San Adrián with life.

We invite you to consult the panels and observe the images on the screen, which show the first asparagus fields, the workers, and the evolution of the industry on the illuminated map.
